Hello all!

Here’s a quick walkthrough of the Hybrid Calisthenics app to get you started.

Caution: You may see images of me (Hampton) throughout this guide. I was shocked too. Consider yourself warned.

Home Screen

Welcome to your new home (screen)!

Here, you’ll be able to track your total number of workouts and how many days in a row you have worked out. You’ll also see the Hybrid Routine daily workout. Scrolling down, you’ll see Featured Movements from our Movement Library. We’ll continue optimizing the home screen for your convenience.

Routine Mode (Exercise)

This is the recommended exercise mode! It’s shown on the Home Screen (seen above) and Exercise bottom tab.

Here, you can log your sets daily and watch your progress build. With each set, you’ll get built-in breaks that allow you to rest, breathe, and prep for your next move.

The app remembers the sets and reps you log and tells you when to move on to harder exercises!

When in doubt - start here! Though the initial exercises are sometimes considered easy, they help build a foundation of good form and movement patterns before we increase resistance in the following progressions!

If you are already familiar with the Hybrid Routine and just want the app as a reference, use the Movement Library tab! You can also use this to mix and match exercises that align with your goals and level of fitness.

This is an option for more advanced practitioners.

Celebrate your wins and share your incredible progress with your friends and anyone that wants to know (maybe even some that don’t)!

Pro Tip: Click the share button in the top right above the workout summary to copy or send an easy summary!

After each workout, your home screen will update to show your completed exercises and total day streaks. The Hybrid Routine will react to your workout achievements, recommending new exercises and new workouts.

Extra sore and need a rest day? Take it and come back when you’re ready! The app will remember your next workout.

Note: We’re working on an Activity tab that will appear at the bottom. This is where you’ll be able to track and see your past workouts!

Change your name, email, notification preferences, and more to keep your profile updated!

There are two Help sections:

  1. Technical Support: Let us know about app bugs and suggestions!

  2. Fitness Support: Have questions? Let our team of certified trainers answer your questions on our support board!*

*FYI: Future “Premium Features” for the app are expected to incorporate premium form coaching - essentially you’ll be able to privately contact our trainers for help with your routine.

You’ll also be able to send private videos and images of your exercise form so we can coach your movements to perfection!


I’ve been asked many times “will your app have AI?”

Artificial Intelligence, right? I guess we could enable some AI features in the help section. That’d be fancy.

For now, we chose to have something related. It’s called HI (pronounced “hi”). That’s “Human Intelligence.” That’s our fitness team! In my opinion, human-to-human communication is still very important in fitness. I’m very appreciative of our fitness team for helping me and our community - just wanted to mention them here.
